About
At Melanie Lewis Home, I create art for the home that’s full of heart, story, and a sense of place.
I’m a painter and printmaker based in Shropshire, and I’ve always been drawn to the quiet beauty of everyday objects — the curve of a jug, the charm of a Staffordshire dog, the way light falls across a windowsill. My work is inspired by memory, by domestic rituals, and by the objects that make a house feel like home.

Each piece — whether it’s a hand-painted lampshade, a printed tea towel, or a fine art print — begins with a brush or carving tool in my studio. I work slowly and intentionally, favouring earthy colour palettes, traditional craftsmanship, and designs that nod to the Bloomsbury Group, the Arts & Crafts movement, and British folk art.
I believe the things we live with should be meaningful as well as beautiful. That’s why every item I create or design — from a tiny card to a statement lampshade — is made with care, quality, and a deep sense of connection.
Whether you're choosing a piece of art for your wall, a thoughtful gift, or a beautiful object for your kitchen or sitting room, I hope you’ll find something here that feels just right — familiar yet special, nostalgic yet timeless.
Thank you for visiting.
