This one-of-a-kind hand-painted lampshade is defined by its bold, rhythmic pattern and rich, earthy palette. Painted entirely by hand, the repeating motif wraps around the shade with a strong sense of movement, combining warm reds, soft cream, deep brown and touches of Cerulean blue at the edges.
The design draws on folk art traditions and decorative pattern-making, with each shape and mark intentionally painted rather than mechanically repeated. Visible brushstrokes and subtle variations give the surface a lively, painterly quality, ensuring the lampshade feels expressive and individual rather than uniform.
When lit, the colours soften and glow, bringing warmth and character to a room. This shade works particularly well as a statement piece on a side table or console, adding interest without overwhelming a space.
As with all my lampshades, this is a completely unique piece — an artwork as much as a functional object — made to bring colour, pattern and personality into the home.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR LAMPSHADE
Care of your lampshade - I have been painting lampshades for nearly 10 years now, using professional artist's paint which is designed to be lightfast and not fade. You do not need to treat your lampshade any differently to a normal fabric lampshade - a light dust from time to time is all it will need. The paint sinks into the fabric fibres, as it would on a canvas, so once dry, it effectively becomes part of the shade and will not chip or flake.
